A growing interest in the country as a tourist destination has meant a rise in quality holiday accommodation in Bosnia Herzegovina as a whole, not just in the capital city of Sarajevo. There are a number of national and international hotels, particularly in Sarajevo and the major cities. Other types of accommodation, including bed and breakfast, guest houses and hostels, are also available. Facilities in the smaller towns have improved in recent years and it is now possible to find hotels and other types of accommodation in all areas. Tourist offices, usually located in all bigger towns, and local tourist agencies can also arrange either hotel or private accommodation. Accommodation is usually more expensive in the high season, July and August. In April, May, September and October, prices are reduced by up to 50%.
