The Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is interested in investing in a tourism project "The Grand Tour” in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The tour would include a ride via narrow-gauge railway from Sargan (Serbia) to Visegrad, a boat trip down the river Drina to Bajina Basta (Serbia), and routes by buses and off-road vehicles over the Tara, back to Sargan.
A JICA project consultant discussed the project with the Visegrad municipality head Tomislav Popovic yesterday. Popovic supported the project, and said the municipality would apply for a loan from the Japanese government via B&H’s foreign ministry. All the project details will be discussed in the next meeting.
