The proposed Draft law on amendments of the Law on tourist boards and promotion of tourism in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not contribute to the development of tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The draft, which should soon enter the parliamentary procedure, will bring the increases of administrative expenses and instead of stimulating the development of tourism it will develop the bureaucratic system.
This was a general view of the directors of ten cantonal tourist offices after the meeting with the director of the main Federal tourist office and director of the Tourist Board of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina , which was recently held in Sarajevo. They also stated that the law will give an autocratic power to the federal minister by giving him an authorisation to bring decisions by himself, instead of consulting the tourist councils.
The opinion of all directors of tourist communities, as well as foreigners, is that the politics should be moved from the tourism, said Almazaga Catovic, Director of the Tourist Board of Tuzla canton.
