The World Club Sport Fishing Championship will be held at Hutovo Blato – Karaotok on June 2-10.The Championship will be the biggest sport event in Bosnia and Herzegovina following the 1984 Olympics and will be a good opportunity for the international promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, President of the Organisational Committee of the World Club Sport Fishing Championship Zeljko Komsic said in Sarajevo. Some 25 teams are expected to take part in the competition. 19 have been already registered.

“This will be a top sport event which could also bring enormous economic benefit. It will be an opportunity for presenting the tourist potentials of Hutovo Blato, Capljina municipality and the entire country”, Komsic told a press conference.

The Organisational Committee is working hard on completing all the necessary preparations. The access road from the M-17 road towards Karaotok will be completed by May 10, while the road from the Karaotok Motel to the competition area on Krupa River has been completed.

The Jelah Tesanj team, which is Bosnia and Herzegovina champion, will represent the country at the competition.
