USAID helps federal Government to cut registration time
21.01.2008
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Government of the Federation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the purpose of reducing time when registering a company in this entity. The implementation of the four-year SPIRA project should reduce that time by 30 per cent, and the time of obtaining a building permit by 50 per cent, USAID reported.
The federal government wants to increase efficiency and transparency in the process of issuing permits. Together with the Government, the USAID will work on removing barriers for SMEs. The organization stated that it had provided more than USD 1 billion so far for enhancing the country's economic, social and democratic progress.
