The head of the Neum district, Duro Obradovic, says that many people are interested in the purchase of 500 hectares of the land on the peninsula Klek and the construction of a new tourist resort.

Even though the land price has been constantly growing, bids were submitted by a group of investors from Spain, an English-Irish company Raven Group, Hypo Group and the company Raguza from Dubrovnik.

At the moment the negotiations on the purchase are in progress, but Obradovic finds that real proposals will probably be made next year. In the next few years new buildings with around 6,000 beds and all supporting facilities such as health, sports and cultural will be built on the peninsula Klek.
