Plans for a new airport in Trebinje

24.05. 2007

The Government of the Republic of Srpska is determined to construct Trebinje Airport in Zubci area, at the same distance from Dubrovnik as Cilipi Airport.

The Austrian Airport Consulting Vienna (ACV) won the tender for the creation of the feasibility study for the airport last year.
The study has now been completed, and ACV is considering becoming a co-investor in the construction of the airport.
The biggest advantage of the Trebinje Airport would be its position, less than 30 kilometers from the most important tourist centers in Montenegro and Croatia.
In the first ten years, EUR 160 million will be invested in the airport on the basis of public-private partnership, and the project is expected to become profitable in eight to ten years.
