The Sarajevo Film Festival announced that Oscar-wining French actress Juliette Binoche will attend the festival.

This outstanding actress, whose roles on the big screen have left a lasting trace in European and world film alike, will introduce in Sarajevo Anthony Minghella's film Breaking and Entering. After a visit to the 10th Sarajevo Film Festival, Minghella re-adapted the screenplay and changed one of its characters, so as to be able to tell a story about a Bosnian emigrant.

Breaking and Entering, which audiences in Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see within SFF's Heineken Open Air Programme, features Juliette Binoche in the role of Amira, a Bosnian woman living in London with her son.

Along with presenting the film Breaking and Entering, Julliette Binoche will also be one of the lecturers at the 1st Sarajevo Talent Campus.

The festival also announced the attendance of one of the most successful director of the younger generation, Fatih Akin, whose films have, from the very beginnings, captured the attention of viewers and critics alike, receiving awards at the most prestigious film festivals. Akin is coming to the Sarajevo Film Festival with the film The Edge of Heaven, the winner of the Award for Best Screenplay at the recently held 60th Cannes Film Festival.
