A brand new project was presented last week at the press conference held at the Old fortress Gradina in Doboj – an initiative for the organisation of the first Tourism Festival to be held in Doboj from May 30th - June 2nd 2007.

The Festival will officially mark the start of the summer tourist season in Bosnia and Herzegovina and further promote the tourism development in the country.
The organisers of the first Tourism Festival are TV programme ''Turizam Plus'', Tourist organisation of Doboj Municipality and ROTOR, and the Organisation for Tourism Promotion of the Doboj Region.
The first Tourism Festival aims to support and promote the tourism sector, and focus on the economic advantages of tourism development, such as opportunities for new jobs, and to develop activities and further steps towards the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina 's tourist destinations at home and abroad.
The initiators presented a programme for the festival which will include: meetings and roundtable discussions between tourism professionals, local municipality representatives, tourist organisations and journalists, picnic for the diplomatic representatives, knights' tournament, cultural events, street parades and various sport events on river Bosnia.
The organisers expect active involvement and participation in the project of all relevant institutions – government departments, tourist organisations, chambers of commerce, NGO's and the tourism industry in general.
