The direct flights between London and Sarajevo start today

The direct line London – Sarajevo became operative today with the landing of the British Airways plane at the Sarajevo Airport . The plane carried the British tour operators and journalists.  

The British Airways will operate on this line three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The Boeing 737 plane, containing 140 seats, will be used.
As announced by Mirjana Dostal, the Regional British Airways Director for Bosnia and Croatia , the lowest return ticket price will be EUR 148 and it will not include the taxes.
Christian Fornaschon, the Regional British Airways Director for South-East Europe, said that the British Airways has become the first British airline operator to directly connect Sarajevo and London.
Matthew Rycroft, the British Ambassador in BiH also spoke to the press and expressed conviction that the British Airways airline will contribute the development of Sarajevo and the entire region tourist and business-wise. He added that the British Airways company is one of the leading airline companies for the business people.  
The British Airways currently has 282 planes at the disposal. They operate on 140 destinations in 77 countries and is one of the leading airline companies in the world, employing about 5.500 people.
