Bjelasnica - the mountain that was home to the 1984 Winter Olympics - is facing some new investments which will turn it into one of the greatest projects in the country in the following years.

The announcement has come from the Trnovo municipal council, which will pass six implementation plan acts at its session on Tuesday, 19 June. They will determine the future course of development for this mountain which is set to become an impressive tourist destination.

Head of the local county - Miralem Ramic - claims that the area of Babin Dol would get a fresh look and purpose, and become a top winter resort. There will be a multi-purpose hall, an enclosed pool, a bank office, a post office, a doctor's office, catering facilities, garages and a square in its immediate centre. The design was already adopted and included in the Bjelasnica 2 project.
