Bijambare tourist complex was officially opened yesterday on the occasion of the final presentation of the Project titled Construction of the Bijambare Vacation Complex - Phase 1.

The Centre for Environmentally Sustainable Development Sarajevo started with the realization of this project in November 2005. It is worth over 300,000 KM, out of which the European Commission financed 90 per cent and the Ministry of Physical Planning and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton 10 per cent.

The main aim of the Project is the making of a new tourist offer which will positively influence the economy of the region, bring life to rural areas and raise awareness among the locals about the protection of nature.
