In the canyon of river Bijela in Trnovo municipality, an expert team of the History Department of the Philosophy University in Sarajevo lead by Prof. Dr. Enver Imamovic discovered ancient drawings, which have until now been entirely unknown to the scientific public.

The survey of the area was completed on Wednesday. Team member Salmedin Mesihovic told Bosnian news agency FENA on Friday that drawings can be seen along the entire length of one high rock. According to him these drawings are exceptionally beautiful, precise and clearly visible. However, a part of the rock has broken off and the remains are between the river and the rock.

Mesihovic said that according to preliminary assessments the drawings can be dated back to at least the medieval ages, but that there are also indications that they could be much older.
