Mostar Blues Festival

July 2008

The Mostar Blues Festival has already become one of the major cultural happenings in Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina . The festival was launched four years ago upon the initiative of young Mostar musicians who believed that electronic music expansion leaves little room for classic music forms.

The three-day event features some of the world's best blues musicians and also encourages performance by local artists. Previous performers include Danny Sheppard, Innes Sibun, Mostar Sevdah Reunion, Mike del Ferro and Guests from America and Croatian bands Goran Bare & Placenici and Chicken Shack Blues Band.
Previous festivals took place in Pavarotti Music Centre in Mostar. Dates for this year's festival will be announced soon.
